Successful completion enables progression onto a vocational Level 3 course at Cardinal Newman College, in the National Diploma in Health & Social Care or the National Diploma in Children's Care Learning & Development or employment.
What will I study?
Six Units will be studied over one academic year. These include:
· Individual needs
· Lifespan development
· The impact of diet on health
· Vocation experience - this unit requires at least 60 hours of placement in a health and social care settings. This is an important aspect of the course and provides a valuable insight into job roles as well as helping to develop vital personal skills. This unit is assessed through reflections on the experiences as well as tutor visits and placement reports.
Progression
Successful completion enables progression on to a vocational Level 3 course at Cardinal Newman College including the National Diploma in Health & Social Care or the National Diploma in Learning & Development or employment.
