technology in retail, applying learning across work-related tasks.
Through three themes, this Diploma focuses on what a person can do
in a retail business environment. Skills such as team work,
creative thinking, self-management, project management, business
communications and reflective learning all play a major part in the
delivery and assessment of the qualification. There will also be
trips and visits to companies.
What can I do next?
This can lead to a place at university or a career in retail and
progression into such posts as a trainee store manager,
merchandiser, buyer, retail journalist, stylist and window
dresser.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need five GCSEs grades A-C grade including English and
maths, or successful completion of an initial assessment and
evidence of a previous excellent record of attendance, punctuality
and commitment from your school or college. You will then be
interviewed, where you will be expected to prove your commitment
and suitability for the course.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
