Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism
The hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector employs nearly two million people. Research shows that 15% of the workforce do not have any qualifications and that this sector has real problems with retaining staff. Poor staff retention levels are widely acknowledged to be due to a lack of training and development.
Investing in your workforce increases staff motivation and loyalty to your organisation - helping to improve staff retention. It can also increase productivity and enhance customer service levels putting you ahead of the competition. West Cheshire College has vast experience of working with businesses in this sector. So if you're a restaurant manager, hotel manager, travel agent or publican, we can help.
We can deliver tailor-made training to suit your needs, and offer a range of programmes, including:

The Green Bough Hotel is a small business which relies on West Cheshire College to provide the academic and wide ranging industrial training to hospitality students that a hotel of our size cannot provide. This training is essential - giving our employees qualifications and skills that are necessary in carrying out tasks in the catering industry. In order for our business to succeed, move forward and provide the highest levels of customer care, we constantly upgrade our skills base with the help of West Cheshire College. The employee benefits by having a greater skills base which leads to job satisfaction, promotion and ultimately a larger salary.
