Course programme
First Aid trained personnel at the workplace is a requirement of Health & Safety law. This course allows nominated personnel to comply with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course is delivered on your premises by our team of experienced trainers who will make this course, interesting, practical and relevant to your workplace. We also run courses open to individuals at our training rooms. This 4-day course offers a basic curriculum in a range of first aid competencies needed in your workplace giving students the ability to administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a casualty.
Training includes:
• How to act in the event of an emergency
• CPR ( cardio-pulmonary resuscitation )

• Dealing with a casualty overcome by gas and fumes
• Transportation of a casualty
• Recognize major and minor illnesses and take appropriate action
Students will also gain the ability to maintain simple factual records and provide written information to a doctor or hospital if required. They will also gain knowledge on the importance of:
• Personal hygiene in first aid procedures
• The legal framework of first aid provision at work
• The use of first aid equipment provided in the workplace
• The role of first aiders in emergency procedures
