Course programme

Healthcare-acquired infections (HCAIs) such as MRSA continue to hit the headlines and the Government continues to make infection control a priority for the NHS. There is still a long way to go in reducing the spread of infections in the healthcare sector though some progress has been made and reported cases of MRSA are reducing. For patients, catching a HCAI is a genuine and frightening concern. Every statistic we see on infection rates represents a real patient who has suffered what could have been a preventable illness.
