This BVS training video and the accompanying resources detail the key personal and environmental factors that contribute to the spread of infection. It develops staff understanding of what infection control is, why it is so important, and what good practices and standard precautions they must follow.

Some may think infection control in hospitals and clinics is only relevant for clinicians, nurses and Healthcare Assistants. In fact, all staff working in healthcare have a role to play in reducing the risk of infection. This video details the key personal and environmental factors that contribute to the spread of infection. It allows staff to develop an understanding of what Infection Control is, why it is important and how healthcare workers can help to reduce the risk of infection in those they care for.

Produced in collaboration with Lynn Parker, experienced infection control advisor, author and training expert, and filmed on location at The University Hospital, Lewisham.

Duration:
