This is a practically orientated course, which has been designed to satisfy the demand for training in hand soldering skills.

Course Content

  • Soldering tools and equipment
  • Practise or refresh, as appropriate, skills covered in the Basic Soldering Course
  • Introduction to soldering/desoldering techniques for basic Surface Mount Components (SMC’s) i.e. standard pitch devices.
  • Practise at soldering and desoldering basic SMC’s to printed circuits.
  • Quality standards and Inspection techniques.
  • Rectification of faulty solder joints
