Successful completion leads to the award of MBA International Management.
Studying and working in another country is the best way to develop both language skills and insight into other cultures. Those seeking a deeper understanding of international business and a designated international MBA qualification may undertake a special project report based on an additional period of study and/or work in another country, leading to the award MBA International Management. This may be undertaken at one of Brighton's European partner schools or in conjunction with another approved programme in the USA, or another country.
Those continuing for additional studies in another country may undertake language preparation studies during the summer before continuing on their international assignment, which commences at the end of the course work in Brighton. A sample of institutions that have hosted Brighton's MBA students in the past include:
France - Ecole Supèrieure de Commerce, Grenoble Founded in 1984, ESC Grenoble quickly became one of the 19 Grandes Ecoles which are noted for their excellence in education and training of managers and engineers. Grenoble is a lively educational and cultural centre. The region boasts an enviable life style that offers access to some of the best downhill and cross-country skiing in Europe. Classes are taught in either French or in English.
Germany - Pforzheim Graduate School of Business This was the first German business school to offer an MBA accredited by the state, and is one of the most highly selective schools in Germany. Classes are taught in German, but supervision in English is available. Pforzheim is 40 minutes from the state capital, Stuttgart, the home of Mercedes and Bosch. It has an active cultural life and offers many recreational opportunities in the nearby Black Forest.
USA - University of La Salle, Philadelphia La Salle is a private, comprehensive university. Its origins can be traced to 17th century France and the Business School is highly ranked in the USA, and accredited by the AACSB. Located on an attractive campus close to the heart of the historical, cosmopolitan and vibrant city of Philadelphia. There are limited exchange places available on the quality MBA programme and a supplementary fee may be payable.
