Asian make-up and hairstyle.

Please Note:
(This course does not qualify the student to work within the industry).

What are the course outcomes?
Demonstration of different hairstyles on short and long hair. Students will practice different hairstyles on each other. Demonstrate different designs of bindis and peer decoration on forehead (practising on each other.) Students will be shown four different ways to wear a sari. (They will practice on themselves.) Provide students with the skills to make their own cones, mixed to the perfect consistency. Create, select and practice the appropriate Henna design.

Are there any additional requirements?
No.

Materials:
To be supplied by student:
concealer, liquid foundation, make up sponge, loose powder, set of brushes, different shades of eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil, liquid eyeliner, eyeliner pencil, mascara, blusher powder, lip liner, lipstick.
FOR BINDIS
Kum Kum (any bindi paint) various colours, 000 paint brush, damp cotton pads, (small container to wash the brush.)
FOR HAIRSTYLES:
Brush, comb, hairspray, hair grips and pins (2 size 2 & 4 inch)
FOR HENNA
Florists transparent cellophane, small scissors, henna powder.

Uniform:Yes, students will need to wear white Tee shirts or sweatshirt. Please do not purchase specialist materials/uniforms before the first session.

How will you be assessed?
There is no formal assessment but a student will be awarded a certificate provided he/she has attended at least 80% of the sessions.

Is there an examination fee?
No.
