It is designed for people with little or no prior experience but it is also applicable to qualified counsellors who want to gain theoretical knowledge and techniques of working with grief and loss.
This course provides an opportunity to consider what bereavement and loss in its broadest sense and what are bereavement counselling skills, with the emphasis on empathy as opposed to sympathy.
An overview of recent theories relating to grief and loss will be provided.
