This is a practical course that develops your counselling and communication skills to use in your work or life and provides an opportunity to continue towards a full counselling qualification. What will I study?
Counselling skills, self awareness exercises, skills practice role-plays in triads, group discussion. The course covers an introduction to Psychodynamic theory, the Humanistic approach and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. You are expected to keep a Weekly Journal. The Certificate requires evidence of completion of all units and an External Assessment.

Certificate in Counselling Studies L3 awarded by CPCAB (Counselling and Psychology Central Awarding Body)
What can I do after the course?
Students can progress onto the Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling L4
