Course description For anyone that's new to music technology and wants to know what it's all about, this introduction to the industry will help you get a really good grounding in professional music production. Learning all about both the hardware and software systems involved in music production, you'll use our recording studies that are equipped to the same standard as the industry, alongside Logic and Ableton software in our excellent computer suites. With a hands-on focus, we'll help you explore all the basics of studio recording, including how to use microphones effectively, what multi-track mixing is, and the skills a DJ needs in order to be successful.

3. Entry requirements Whilst we don't need you to have any formal qualifications to enrol on this introductory course, you should ideally have at least one GCSE at grade D or above. What is essential is that you have a passionate for music and an interest in how it is produced. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method During this course, you'll learn how to record an artist, mix a recorded multi-track and create a computer-based piece of music. Assessments will revolve around this, and be mostly practical based.
