A one day course designed to suit newcomers to the development and management of woodland areas. Whether you have a wood of your own, or in the planning stages of planting, this course is designed to introduce you to the skills required. The need to care for your woodland areas is important which is done by using techniques such as tree planting methods, after care, woodland design, thinning and coppicing. Also covered are the equally important concerns of managing woods for wildlife, recreation and timber production.
