IOSH Managing Safely

Course content:

We are happy to report that we will be running regular IOSH (Chartered Institute of Occupational Safety & Health) Managing Safety Course under our license at our Folkestone Training Centre and at other locations throughout the UK & Ireland.

Aims and Objectives:

Our IOSH Managing Safely Course is to equip directors, managers, supervisors, team leaders and newly appointed safety personnel in any sector and any organisation with the knowledge and skills to be certificated at IOSH Managing Safely Level.

IOSH Managing Safely is a nationally recognised certificated course and is ideal for those who have safety responsibilities, but have had no formal training in the subject. The course will provide the background necessary to improve an individual’s skill and knowledge requirements in the area of health & safety management. The course aims to develop an approach to safe working; using principles outlined in Successful Safety Management HS (G) 65 together with more tried and tested techniques of health & safety management.

This course is approved by Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH), which is Europe's leading awarding body for health and safety.

The course will cover the following areas:

• Introducing Managing Safely
• Assessing Risks
• Controlling Risks
• Understanding your Responsibilities
• Identifying Hazards
• Investigating Accidents and Incidents
• Measuring Performance
• Protecting our Environment

Course delegates will each receive a full IOSH Managing Safely Folder. This folder will to assist delegates both during and after the course. The folder contains information, guidance and forms to assist managers. The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course trainer.

We regularly run IOSH Managing Safely courses over four days at our training centre in Folkestone, Kent. We have also delivered this course in-house for organisations throughout the UK & Ireland. We can also provide this course throughout Europe and the Middle East.

At the end of the course delegates will undertake a multi-format assessment and a short workplace based practical project. Delegates must complete their project and return it to the trainer within 14 days of the course completion. Delegates who successfully complete the assessments at the end of the course are awarded the IOSH Managing Safely Certificate. Teas, coffees and lunch will also be provided on all days of training

Our IOSH Managing Safely Trainers are chartered members of IOSH and have many years of experience in developing and monitoring safety management programmes for The Railway Industry, Government Departments, UK Paper, SCA Packaging, etc. Our consultants have worked for major Multinational Companies and Government Departments based in the UK and abroad. Our trainers all work on the basis that health and safety training need not be boring, so you will not only learn - you will have fun doing so!
