Who is this course for?
This workshop is for students on the Skills for Jobs Programme or Response to Redundancy. It is designed to help you apply for jobs using the internet, and also share information on other employment seeking routes.

What previous knowledge/experience are required?
None

What will the course cover and what can I expect to do by the end of it?
The workshop provides details of various sources of jobs and provides you with assistance in applying for jobs. We use a number of websites which have proven to be quite successful and help you in navigating through the more complex sites.

What teaching and learning methods will be used on the course?
This is classroom based and you will be using computers to navigate through job web sites.

How will we assess your progress on the course?
Ongoing

What extra study/practice do we expect you to do outside the class?
We will point you in the right direction, but you will be expected to use the information we have given you to apply for jobs outside of the workshop.

What can I do after completing this course?
Hopefully secure employment or build confidence in searching and applying for jobs directly.
