Kitchen Fitting

This is now a bespoke and sought after course, saving students hundreds of pounds when installing their own new kitchen.

The chance to plan and fit a new kitchen will probably be a rare experience for most people. A new kitchen is a long-term investment and your time and money must be spent wisely. The kitchen is the place where family and friend congregate – the heart of the home and a work of art you want to be proud off.

The Building Skills Academy Kitchen fitting course provides you with the knowledge and skills to plan, project manage and install your own kitchen at a fraction of the price charged by a third party installer. From the start you will be made aware of all health and Safety aspects in working with hand tools, jigs, routers, jigsaws circular and mitre(chop)saws, to mention only a few.
During the design session you will be introduced to the triangle, how to design your kitchen layout to provide an ideal production line giving the best economic use of work centres. The positioning of plumbing and electric services plays an important part in the design of your kitchen. You will also be shown how to make an electrical installation plan considering safety and lighting requirements.
