Course programme
We will be reading from Ovid, Heroides, edited by Peter E, Knox (Cambridge University Press 2003 - ISBN 0-521-36834-0), and Fifty Letters of Pliny, edited by A.N. Sherwin-White (Oxford University Press - ISBN 9780199120109).
Students will be assigned a passage of the target text to prepare for the next class. There will be general discussion on language, style, themes and cultural points, arising from the text. You will be expected to do two to three hours’ homework per week.Additional information
