Do you need to know how to load an airtcraft? Would you like to learn using real equipment? This program features use of a wide array of different aircrafts such as the Boeing 737-400 and the Airbus A321 and A380.
With this hands-on course, students will learn to effectively plan the loading of an aircraft to maximise revenue and minimise handling time. Additionally, students will learn how to ensure the aircraft is loaded safely and in accordance with IATA and airline procedures. By the end of the course, students will also be able to produce a pre calculation to identify any weight or balance problems and to assist load planning.
The course will also cover what to do when there are issues. For instance, students will learn to correctly deal with a wide range of scenarios such as overloaded aircraft, dangerous goods and special loads. In order to meet regulations, the course will include instruction on how to accurately complete IATA standard load sheets and both table and drop line balance charts, as well as how to correctly interpret commonly used IATA standard messages such as the LDM and CPM.
This course is particularly suitable for: Aircraft Dispatchers, Load Controllers GHA, GSP, Ground Handling Agents, Airline Staff, Flight Crew, Student Pilots

Course programme
Content review:
Using our fictional airline, trainees will gain experience with realistic exercises on a varied fleet ranging from regional aircraft such as the Q400, the Boeing 737-800 bulk loaded aircraft and both narrow and widebody containerised aircraft, such as the Airbus A321 and A380. Exercises require trainees to find information in the airline GOM, specific aircraft AHM’s and make reference to the IATA Airport Handling Manual and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Learners will gain knowledge and build confidence dealing with the IATA standard manual load sheet, table and pitch balance charts, pre-calculations and loading instructions through our classroom based course using blended learning
techniques in a relaxed environment.
Syllabus based on IATA AHM591. To meet requirements, our course includes an assessment with certificates valid for valid for 3 years.
