The Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food Processing and Cooking) is designed for people who want to build skills in food processing and cooking in the hospitality industry. This qualification is designed for new or existing support staff wanting to build their existing skills and experience and/or achieve their first formal qualification in hospitality. Possible career pathways include chef, fast food service assistant, food processing operatives or kitchen assistant.
Participants will be supported with up to 111 guided learning hours, depending on experience. Within this time participants will complete work that has been agreed with the trainer. The qualification with be achieved once participants have demonstrated the knowledge and skills required to operate safely within food handling environments.
