Level 2 NVQ in Advice and Guidance Support

The NVQ is aimed at administrators, receptionists and others providing support to clients and practioners in an advice and guidance service or context
Entry RequirementsIndividuals need to be 16 years or over and currently working in either a paid or voluntarily capacity.
There are no formal entry requirements but a good standard of literacy is required.
Course Content
The qualification is made up of three mandatory units

·Support clients to make use of the advice and guidance service
·Interact with clients using a range of media
·Develop personal performance through delivering customer service

Plus three optional units chosen from the following:
·Enable advice and guidance clients to access referral opportunities
·Provide and maintain information materials for use in the service
·Support customer service improvements
·Promote additional services or products to customers
·Process customer service information
·Contribute to the identification of the risk of danger to indidviduals
·Contribute to the effectiveness of teams
·Receive and pass on messages and information

How will I be assessed?
To achieve the qualification candidates need to complete the three mandatory and three optional units.
The programme will consist of workshops and support within your workplace. An assessor will be appointed to provide support and assessment with the work place. You will need to present a portfolio of evidence for assessment and verification.
What can I do next?
This qualification will provide progression to further study at Level 3 in the same or related areas of study.
