The CPD Skills for Life is designed to provide you with opportunities to acquire and develop the knowledge and skills needed for teaching Skills for Life in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

What does the course involve?
The Level 5 CPD Skills for Life Diploma qualiications require course members to complete at least 75 hours of teaching practice. Securing appropriate teaching hours is the responsibility of the course member. There must be a minimum of 4 observations of teaching (lasting at least 30 minutes) totalling a minimum of 4 hours.The course contains 2 taught modules which will take place on Monday evenings 6 - 9pm at The Castle in Cecily Hill, as well as the Work-Based Experience Module.

What will I study?
Specialist Literacy Qualification The overall aims of the programme are:To provide Skills for Life subject specialist teacher training and to develop course members professional practice in the Skills for Life sector.To develop course members practical professional competences, underpinning knowledge and relective practice strategies needed for effective teaching and support of learning in the Skills for Life sector of education.
