You will achieve the following qualifications:

  • Level One VRQ Diploma in Food Preparation and Cooking
  • Level One VRQ Certificate in Food and Beverage Service
  • Level Two Award in Food Safety in Catering
  • Functional skills/GCSEs

The qualification is assessed in a variety of ways:

  • Research based assignments
  • Multi-choice tests/short answer questions
  • Five individual practical tasks – graded pass, merit or distinction
  • Two synoptic practical assessments - graded pass, merit or distinction
