Course Overview
This ten week course is for people who want to learn more about how to draw the human figure in a variety of media, or for those who want to refresh existing skills.
Course Structure
There will be one class each week for 10 weeks, on a Thursday evening from 6.15-9.00pm.
Each week we will look at the human figure in a variety of forms, including line, tone and colour. You will use different media for drawing, such as pastel, charcoal, oil pastel and pencil.
Students will be encouraged to practice their drawing skills at home, and small tasks may be set from week to week.
Qualification Aims
This course is a general drawing course which will help boost your confidence in drawing and also give you material to put towards a portfolio which is useful for applications for Further and Higher Education courses in the Arts. There are no formal qualifications but student who complete the course will be awarded a College Certificate of Achievement.
Assessments/Examinations
There are no formal examinations or assessments. Students will be given advice and encouragement in building their portfolio of drawings throughout the course.
Cost / Equipment £210 - No concessions. Materials additional.
