Out and about on location with an expert photographer, you will learn to apply the camera settings relevant to architectural photography, to creatively document the architecture of bridges, from both design and historical perspectives. You will explore the importance of sun behaviour, light direction, and choosing the right lenses and accessories, as well as practising essential techniques such as controlling depth of field.

- identify the technical demands of architectural photography
- understand your rights to take photographs in public
- photograph design features of bridges efficiently.
Please bring your camera (if you have one) to the classes, and a notebook and pen if you wish to take notes. City Lit has a range of digital SLR cameras, tripods and lenses which you are welcome to use during the hours of the class. It would be useful to bring a memory stick (or portable hard drive – please note we work on Apple Macs - PC-formatted hard drives can be read by Apple Mac computers, but not written to.
