Programme Outline

Legislation and Case Law lays down specific duties on Employers, Clients or Occupiers of premises to Control Contractors. Where the number of contractors does not exceed five, or where "construction work" does not apply, then persons in control do not have to comply with the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM).

However other systems and procedures are required by legislation to be in place and recent HSE publication "Managing Contractors" needs to be followed.
