There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be either practising or aspiring first line or middle managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme â€" which is likely to be GCSE A-C level in English Language or level 2 Adult Literacy.

Course Content: The ILM Level 4 Award in Managing Equality and Diversity in an Organisation has been designed to help practising or aspiring managers to develop an understanding of the nature and origins of personal values, beliefs, attitudes and prejudices, and the impact these can have on workplace behaviour.
This is a single unit qualification - participants review existing culture of equality and diversity in their organisation. They move on to identify development activities within their role to implement equality and diversity and plan how to manage this area on an ongoing basis.
Special Features: Candidates produce a Reflective Review assessment (assignment set by ILM) which is split into 3 sections. You must achieve more than the minimum marks in each section to pass. Candidates also attend an Employment Tribunal process.
Progression: Successful candidates may benefit from career enhancement and/or progress to ILM Level 4 Award in Management, Level 5 Diploma in Management, Level 4 or Level 5 Coaching/Mentoring.
