To establish an awareness of current legislation and good practice regarding manual handling operations.
OBJECTIVES
1. To raise awareness about the risk of back injury from lifting and manual handling.
2. To highlight participants legal obligations with regard to protecting themselves and their staff from the risk of back injury.
3. To enable participants to understand and practice the use of correct lifting and manual handling techniques.
4. To develop ideas and action plans for reducing the risk of back injury happening in participants own workplace.
