Mechanical Engineering Foundation Diploma - VRQ Level 1

Course Overview
This course allows you to acquire basic mechanical engineering competencies in a college-based environment, which simulates working practice.

Course Structure
You will study five units:

• Milling and turning
• Computer aided design
• Engineering design

Qualification Aims
The qualification aims are:

• EAL VRQ Level 1 in Engineering Technology
• Essential Skills in Maths and English

Students can progress on to the VRQ L2.

Assessments/Examinations
Students will be tested also on practical and knowledge levels gained in each unit by internally marked assignments undertaken by the students at key stages of the course progression.

Tuition/registration is FREE for those aged 16-18yrs

Free tuition is available to those over 19 in receipt of means tested benefits or to their unwaged dependants

Electronic Tool Kit -£12
