I am a qualified and experienced counsellor having worked with a wide range of clients in the voluntary sector and privately for 10 years. I teach Counselling skills with Jewel & Esk College. My interest in Buddhism and meditation over years led me to study Mindfulness with Bangor Uni. The integration of Eastern and Western approaches to health and well-being informs and inspires my practise. Qualifications: Ad. Dip. Counselling 2002 SVQ3 Social Care 2002 Cert. in Training Practise 2006 PG Dip. Mindfulness Based Approaches 3rd year. COSCA Cert. in Supervision Skills 2010

Course programme

An 8 week course in MBSR learning simple and effective meditations in a group setting. The practises include: body scan, mindfulness of breathing, mindful movement `walking mindfully and chi gong`, 3 minute breathing space etc. The practices are followed by enquiry process to encourage your own learning and self-awareness. You will be given CDs and weekly handouts to support your home practice and developing mindfulness skills.

Payment options: Initial orientation session FREE. If you then decide to register for the course: 8 week course price £150 / 120 conc. Payment of full fee or deposit of £50 to secure a place payable on registration.
