Course programme

The MSc in Learning and Innovation programme has two core modules (60 credits), a choice module (30 credits), two elective modules (30 credits) and dissertation or consultancy project (60 credits)

Core Modules (60 credits):

· ED7017-30 Learning and Knowledge Technology;

· ED7003-30 Social Research Methods.

Choice module (30 credits):

· ED7026-30 Online Pedagogy and Application, OR;

· BM7020-15 Managing People.

Choose two electives (30 credits):

· ED7018-15 Learning Technology for Business and Enterprise;

· ED7019-15 Educational Applications of Multimedia;

· ED7020-15 Technology, Pedagogy and Society.

Dissertation or Consultancy Project (60 credits)

· ED7004-60 Dissertation- students selecting the dissertation will identify an appropriate research topic, critically select and apply appropriate research methodology and data collection methods to their chosen research topic, and demonstrate a rigorous understanding of the theory and literature relevant to the issues of investigation.

· Consultancy Project- Students will work on a specific project for an organization. The organization selected will function as the client and is normally an employer or another organization with which the student is familiar. There may be limited consultancy projects available at BSU. The aim of this project is to enable students to undertake a process of systematic practitioner inquiry within the learning design domain.
