  • Good course for an audio learner. Some of the graphics are a bit small, so you need the book as well. The practice questions IMO are better than the exam questions as the test your knowledge of the intent of MSP, not the specific words. Sadly, MSP (etc) are still hung up on specifics, so be careful - you must do VERY well on the practices to pass the exams well.

  • Package was a good price. Company were easy to contact and very responsive. The e-learning slides were informative but I'd suggest buying the manual to complement your understanding. Make sure you're very knowledgeable before you put in for the exam. I found the foundation exam very different to the practice exams and it took a lot of thinking about (maybe that was just me). I've only completed the foundation which I've passed so am still working towards the practitioner.

About the course: This review is of the combined package MSP Foundation and Practitioner Course and Exam. The Balance Global material was excellent and compared well with other on-line tuition services; the module tasks were helpful and relevant; and the test questions were useful in terms of identifying areas of weakness. This was all delivered effectively and without delay at a very reasonable price, and together with the sample questions and syllabus information available on the Axelos web-site prepared me well for the MSP Foundation and Practitioner examinations.

The Foundation level introduces the Managing Successful Programmes framework and terminology. The purpose of the Foundation certification is to determine whether you know and understand the MSP® guidance well enough to be able to work with a team involved in the management of a programme or act as an informed member of a programme office, business change team or project delivery team working within an environment supporting MSP®. The purpose of the MSP® Foundation certification is to confirm you understand the MSP® guidance thoroughly enough to work effectively with those involved in the management of a programme or to act as an informed member of a programme office, business change team or project delivery team working within an environment supporting MSP®. The Practitioner level is aimed at teaching learners to understand and apply the MSP principles, governance themes and transformational flow processes when managing a programme. The purpose of the MSP® Practitioner certification is to confirm whether you understand the MSP® guidance well enough to apply it to your own work and are able act as an informed member of a programme management team. That is, someone responsible for managing, leading, supporting or advising on work within an MSP® environment. You should also be capable of applying the MSP® guidance in a relatively uncomplicated programme within an environment that uses MSP®.
