What will I learn?
This course is for those interested in taking their first steps in music performance, composing and technology - it will provide you with the opportunity to discover your potential as a music technologist, composer and music performer, combined with an understanding of the music industry. The course includes electronic music production, MIDI sequencing, computer-based music production, an introduction to audio recording and the music industry, plus key skills in communications, numeracy and information technology. By the end of the course you will have a good idea of what the next step should be if you wish to continue developing your skills.

This course is taught in a classroom through a series of seminars, lectures and workshops..

How will I be assessed?
Practical, observation and written evidence of assignment tasks.

What could I do next?
After this course you could progress on to our Level 3 provision. You could gain employment in the recording industry.
