What will I study?
· Performance.
· Composition and compositional techniques.
· Listening and understanding.
The second year involves more advanced study in the areas studied at AS-Level with further specialism in:
· Performance or composition.

How is the course assessed?
All areas are assessed. Performance is assessed internally and moderated by external examiners.

What enrichment will there be?
Activities include:
· Rock bands.
· Blueprint Studio visit.
· Hallé Orchestra at The Bridgewater Hall.
· Jazz funk band plus performances.

What could I do next?
Music is an excellent qualification and can provide access to study at degree or foundation level.
Careers include performing, teaching, music therapy, composing, instrument technology, sound engineering, music producing, music retail and a number of administrative jobs.
