Music Technology: Studio and Live Sound (Level 3)

Studio Licence Project You’ll develop skills and confidence in using studio hardware through recording professional musicians and completing the studio licence project. You’ll also develop keyboard and software sequencing techniques, providing you with a solid foundation to build on throughout the rest of the course.Creating a Soundtrack You’ll build on your knowledge of digital audio while creating a soundtrack for a computer game or film. In doing so, you’ll develop skills in synthesis, sampling and sound design techniques. You’ll collaborate with TV & Film and/or Games students during this term.Session Recordings You’ll develop your studio skills further by recording musicians in the re-creation of a commercial track. You’ll also develop your understanding of the music industry through examining organisations, roles and contracts and find out how to be successful in this constantly-evolving industry. This will involve collaboration with Music Performance & Songwriting students.Composition and Production Skills
