This portfolio based course is delivered in three sections. DJ skills focuses on how the equipment works, how to set it up, cueing records, beat-matching and mixing techniques. Individuals will record a final mix, which they can take away to start promoting themselves. The music production section is an introduction to making dance/electronic music on a computer, using Logic Audio. The DJ Industry section looks at how to get gigs, promotion, copyright issues and self employment. Course content includes: DJing. Dance music production. Understanding the DJ industry. Suitable for: The course is suitable for beginners and proficient DJs alike. Classes are taught in groups of similar abilities - in groups of 6.

Course Fees - ensuring that you pay the lowest fees

Standard Fee

The standard course fee is 300 GBP. To be eligible for the standard fee you must:
• Be aged 16 and over
• Currently reside in the UK
• Have resided in UK for at least 3 years

If you are not eligible for the standard fee, you will have to pay the full cost of the course.

Concessionary Fee

You will only have to pay 15 GBP to register for the course, if you fulfil the residency criteria above and at least one of the following applies to you.
• Job Seekers Allowance
• Asylum seekers or refugees in receipt of the equivalent of income tested benefit
• Income support
• Housing Benefit
• Council Tax Benefit
• Working Tax Credit with a household income of less than 15,050 GBP
• The unwaged dependents of those listed above
