NPTC Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry

Introduction
This exciting course is aimed at ambitious, experienced florists who want to progress to management level. It encourages you to develop both your creative floristry skills and your business acumen. You must be working in the industry at least part-time, or be self employed, as you have to complete assignments which require you to be actively working in the industry.

This course is particularly suitable for florists who want to develop their skills through Continuous Professional Development.
Taking your creative and design skills to this high level is stimulating and enjoyable and is a route chosen by many of our NPTC Level 3 florists to progress their careers.

You will come into college for one day a week for one year and spend at least one extra day a week practicing these skills. Our experienced and
enthusiastic staff will help you to complete your study.

Course Structure
The course is made up of 10 modules (or units):
  • Botanical Concepts & Practices for Floristry
  • Business Practices for Floristry
  • Design Concepts for Floristry
  • Floral Event Practices
  • Historical Studies for Floristry
  • Marketing & Promotion Practices for Floristry
  • Technical Floristry Skills -Designs in Mediums
  • Technical Floristry Skills - Design Trends
  • Technical Floristry Skills -Tied Designs
  • Technical Floristry Skills -Wired & Glued Designs


Each module is assessed through three integrated assignments, a written examination and a practical examination.

Length of the course
  • 300 learning hours
  • Individual modules can be studied for Continuing Professional Development
