Six units in total. To achieve the full award candidates must complete the 3 mandatory units and a further 3 optional units from a choice of 9. Mandatory units 1.Support clients to make use of the Advice and Guidance service 2.Interact with clients using a range of media 3.Develop personal performance through delivering customer service. Suitable for: This NVQ is for those working in an advice and guidance setting. It is designed for full or part time workers, paid and voluntary, permanent or temporary, as well as day or night workers.Legal considerations Candidates entering the advice and guidance workforce may be legally required to undergo criminal record checks prior to taking up employment/work placement. Centres, employers and placement providers will need to liaise closely with one another to ensure that any requirements for the particular area of work are fully met.

Progression routes This NVQ will provide progression to higher levels of qualification. A number of the units in Level 2 Advice and Guidance Support are directly transferable into NVQ Level 3 and Level 4 Advice and Guidance.
