NVQ Level 2 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

What is covered:

This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to start a career in working with children. It provides a sound knowledge base on which to build, covering essential good practice, supporting the smooth running of the nursery and will qualify the candidate to be a nursery assistant. Learners must complete 6 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. Units include; Helping to keep children safe, Supporting children's development and Supporting children's play and learning.

How are you assessed:

You will be observed in the workplace and will be expected to complete written assignments on each unit. Teaching of underpinning knowledge takes place through evening classes or via e-learning.

How long is the course:

12-15 months
