What will I Learn on this Course?
You will learn how ICT is used and create IT solution to a variety of problems. You will learn how to use software applications and customise them to meet user requirements. You will develop skills in graphics, spreadsheets, databases, webpages and multimedia applications.
Throughout the course an understanding of how computers work is developed.

- Creating Sound and Video Using ICT
At the end of the course, you should achieve a pass, merit or distinction. A merit or higher is usually required to progress onto advanced level courses.
After the Course
The course will prepare you for further training or employment as computer users or providing technical support for computer users. Many students remain at College to study A levels or OCR/BTEC Nationals.
Examples of occupational areas that use IT include:
IT technician / support, publishing, multimedia, database marketing and administration
Subject Combinations
The Intermediate ICT course is usually taken alongside one or two GCSE courses. If you have not achieved grade C or above in GCSE Maths or English, you will be required to study them alongside this course.
Information & Communications Technology combines well with all subjects but the most common subjects are Mathematics, English, Business Studies, Media Studies and Photography.
