Description

This course offered by Emagister provides an introduction to food safety. It offers students some of the essential principles of basic hygiene that will enable them to understand the importance of food safety and its role in ensuring that food safety is maintained.

The course will also provide knowledge of some health and safety principles that must be followed in a retail food or manufacturing environment.

This course is mainly aimed at students who have plans to work in a food retail or manufacturing environment.

This is an ideal course developed and designed to provide the principles of food safety, the importance of being able to recognize different food safety hazards as an introduction to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system. It includes personal hygiene standards, the importance of storing and handling food in a hygienic manner and the function of monitoring the safety of food.

There are no skills or prerequisites attached to this course as it is not accredited, although we do recommend that other food safety courses such as Allergens and Validation and HACCP verification be conducted for a more complete understanding of food safety in the workplace.
