This Intensive One Day Paediatric First Aid Course in Brighton and Hove, London and across the UK on request, focuses on emergency scenarios that are faced by nannies, parents and others caring for young children
It meets Ofsted requirements for the Voluntary part of the register.

What you will learn?
The course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving young children.
The Course Content is as follows
- First aid kit - what they need to contain and why
- Action planning
- Treatment of an unconscious casualty and the recovery position
- Dealing with Resuscitation and Choking
- Asthma and diabetic emergencies
- Head injuries
- Seizures
- Bleeding
- Burns and scolds
- Sprains, strains and fractures
- Poisoning, bites and stings
- Foreign objects
- Childhood conditions (e.g. measles, meningitis, croup).
Course duration: 6 hours.
We specialise in Paediatric First Aid. All of our Paediatric First Aid Courses are facilitated by instructors who are experienced tutors, specialist paediatric nurses and health visitors. Our instructors have many years experience working with and training health professionals, child care workers and parents. We have extensive experience with families and children within both the hospital environment and community setting. This means we bring experiential knowledge to all of our courses. We use a range of teaching methods appropriate to the course and to engage learners in a fun and interesting way. We use up to date information from the Resuscitation Council and ensure that the course fully meet the requirements for your workplace and any regulatory body such as Ofsted.
Our aim is to run interesting and informative courses which combine theory and practical activities to empower professionals to feel competent in their skills in the workplace.
