WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Accounting technicians are the skilled support staff in accounting and finance, covering a vast range of individual jobs from accounts clerks and book-keepers through supervisory levels to areas of financial management. AAT is sponsored by the major accounting bodies in the UK.
WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will study the following subjects:
Working with computers
Preparing reports and returns
Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive working environment
Financial records and preparing accounts
Recording and evaluating costs and revenues
WHAT ARE MY COMMITMENTS?
You will need to attend classes for approximately 16 hours per week. In addition, you will need to spend 10 to 15 hours per week on coursework at home or in college. Your assessments will need to be completed by the set time.
WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
You will, upon successful completion, achieve the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Intermediate Stage, Level 3.
