Course Description
Are you frustrated when you have to call out a tradesman to do the simplest of household repairs, then this is the ideal course for you, whether its removing radiators to redecorate, patching up and repairing plasterboard where old sockets have been or even to taking off your existing doors in order to fit new carpets

Even if you haven†t picked up a hammer or screwdriver before, that won†t be a problem, you will be guided and taught at a pace to suit your own individual needs and at the same time have fun and hopefully save you money.

Course Content
  • Understand Health and Safety requirements related to the safe use of tools and equipment
  • Replace and unblock waste pipes
  • Remove and replace radiators
  • Learn the basics of wall tiling especially around sinks, worktops and baths
  • Repair and patch plasterwork to damaged walls and plasterboard
  • Take off existing doors, plane and replace
  • Replace new door handles, locks and hinges to doors
  • Fit new shelving around the house using a variety of fixings
