Level 1 You will gain a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounts. The areas to be covered include: * The concept of business entity * Recording of transactions using double-entry bookkeeping * Identifying and dealing with accounting terms and documentation. * Preparation of the cash book * Banking and the bank reconciliation * Petty cash and imprest accounts * Preparation of a simple set of final accounts

There will be one examination at the end of each level to assess the topics covered.
