You should check the level of this course to see if it matches your ability. Students needed to prove having BSL 1 before enrolling in BSL 2. It is essential to have passed CACDP Level 1 Certificate in BSL. All applicants will be interviewed individually before the class start.

Level: Level 2 - Module 2
Course content:
The BSL 2: module 2 allows learners to broaden communicating with Deaf people using BSL, and encourage from them to complete a range of real life, routine and daily experiences involving both production.
The content of the award will contain four themes, â€-About you', â€-Eating and Drinking', â€-Shopping and Spending' and â€-Travel' In order to develop a suitable range of vocabulary for this level, all learners will study the first theme and two from the remaining three. .
Course Structure:
Candidates must achieve all three units above for the full qualification. Units may be taken separately and in any order, although (BSL 2: module 1 â€"unit BSL 201 is designed to build on vocabulary from Level 1 and should therefore be completed first. Content of BSL 2: module 2 (unit BSL 202 -Productive Skills): Skills for demonstrating use of routine language in everyday situations expressed through simple sentence structures and set phrases in the form of a presentation.

Assessment:
Tutor feedback, Assessment is built into the learning time of each unit. Homework, BSL 202 exam · 3 · 4 mins productive skills with one of the themes that will be chosen in class. Fees paid separately. Ask Tutor to give you the dates for exam and fees.

Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
