Part-Time Certificate In Land-Based Studies (Agriculture) (Level 1)

This highly practical course in agricultural and environmental studies is suitable for students with little or no formal qualifications who are looking to enter the land-based sector. Vocationally focused, you will learn how to work safely, care for animals and maintain structures as well as gain first hand experiences of working on and around farms.

Entry Requirements

Students should be at Entry Level 3 or working towards Level 1.

Assessment Method
Short multiple-choice examinations, plus a portfolio of evidence will be marked by an external examiner.

Progression Routes
Successful candidates can further enhance their skills by enrolling onto the First Diploma in Agriculture or, should they wish to, progress straight into the agricultural industry.

Specialist Equipment Needed
You will need steel toe-capped boots, wellington boots and waterproof clothing and Hadlow College overalls.
