Under the INDG317 Chainsaws at Work it is recommended that chainsaw operators are updated (refresher training) every 2'3 years, and occasional users every 5 years.

What qualifications will I need?
Minimum age 18 years '
NPTC Certificate of Competence Unit 30
or
NPTC Certificate of Competence Unit 31.

What will I be learning about?

• Health and Safety Legislation
• Maintenance of the chainsaw
• Felling small trees
• Snedding techniques and cross cut timber

What materials are required?
Chainsaw boots and suitable outdoor clothing. Basic stationery and writing materials
