Key Features
The Diploma in First Line Management is aimed at current or potential managers who have as yet received no formal qualification in management.
It is designed for those working in a wide range of organisations that have, or soon will have, some management or supervisory responsibility.
Course members may be managers or supervisors with considerable work experience but who have not completed any formal management qualifications. There will be others who are on the threshold of management who require vital management skills and a qualification that verifies their competence.
To achieve the Diploma in First Line Management, you will need to successfully complete the following units:

Assessment
Assessment is via a combination of work-based assignments, case study and presentations. Assessment will focus on the practical application of management ideas.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification. However, candidates are likely either to hold a Certificate in Team Leading and/or have a few years experience at supervisory or first line management level.
Progression
Upon successful completion of the Diploma in First Line Management, a number of progression options become available:
- Enhance your professional status by becoming an Associate member (ACMI) of the Institute
- Progress onto the next level of Institute qualification, the Diploma in Leadership and Management (Level 5) and then onto Member grade (MCMI) and Chartered Manager status.
