There is not an initial assessment During the course the level of English will be assess and in order to continuing to level 3, students will have to demonstrate a good level of English (written and oral)

Course content:
Come and learn about the role of a Community Interpreter. Lear about interpreting techniques, Public Services and much more.
By the end of the course students will be able to:
- use and understand the different interpreting techniques
- understand the concept of confidentiality and impartiality
Course Structure:
Classes typically have about 12-16 students. You may work in groups, in pairs or individually and need to complete a series of assignments in class and outside the class. There is an emphasis on student participation in activities.
Course resources:
Language Laboratory; Satellite TV; Computer Assisted Language Learning and Internet. You will have access to the Learning Centre in Tooting.
