About this course

This course is for students 19 years old and over. All applicants must have a minimum of two years continuous experience working in a relevant Early Years setting. Students will normally have a minimum of one of the following Level 3 qualifications:
NVQ at Level 3 or other appropriate vocationally related NQF Level 3 qualification.

Course Structure:
The course is divided into 16 modules with a value of 240 credits. In Year One 120 credits must be gained from successful completion of the prescribed modules before progressing to Year Two where another 120 credits must be gained.

Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
The course is divided into 16 modules. It is assessed continually throughout the year. Students will be assigned a personal tutor and a workplace mentor to support their progress.

Next step:
On successful completion of the course students will have the opportunity to progress onto an honours degree, Early Years Professional Status or a course leading to a recognised teaching qualification.
